History of rugs weaving is very long. These days it is not known where the first rug came from. Some people believe that Persian rugs were the first ever made, others are sure that oriental rugs
were the first. The only thing known for sure that is rugs weaving craft has started somewhere in the Asian region.
Oriental rugs
came from Far East. Some sort of oriental rugs have been made in any region of Asia (such as China, Mongolia, India...). Each of these regions has it own style and tradition in making oriental rugs. Different materials are also used in oriental rugs
made in different region.
And even different sorts of wool gave oriental rugs different properties.
Most of the oriental rugs presently being produced in Asia are hand-made. In many European and American countries some sort of oriental rugs is being made (usually by machines) but these are not true oriental rugs. If you want a unique atmosphere of Asia in your home then you have to buy hand-made oriental rugs.
They do cost a lot of money but you can never obtain such mood as with real oriental rugs with something else.
Oriental rugs are not only cost much they are usually hard to maintain them. You must have a special service just to clean them. Do not use your oriental rugs in high traffic areas. They are a wonderful decorating detail to be put on the wall.
The price of Oriental rugs and Persian rugs is getting only higher everyday so Persian and Oriental rugs is a good way to invest your money.
