It is believed that rugs weaving started somewhere in Asia - may be that is a reason of popularity of oriental, Persian or Tibetan rugs. These wonderful examples of Asian weaving craft are always look great in any decoration.

Designs based on the man vs. wild animals theme are also usual in Tibetan rugs as long as Tibet is a very tough place (animalistic motifs are very popular - there even mythological animals pictured on Tibetan rugs). Not matter what is pictured on Tibetan rugs nature or any religion symbol these rugs are always very colorful.
As long as Tibetan rugs are supposed to be used in different ceremonies they are very strong and can withstand an intense use. That makes them not only beautiful but also very practical.
